GP Attachment in Newmarket Day 11 : We'll Never Be Royals

Assalamualaikum.

Okey first of all, nak cerita pasal non-clinical stuffs dulu. Just a loud shout, "I have the best GP in the world!!". HAHAH. Semalam again, every Monday, memang lepas singgah Kanturk Community Hospital, GP akan angkut kitorang pergi rumah dia la untuk lunch. So, wife dia pun serve lah vege soup, roti home made, onion egg and lasagnea haha tapi yang lasagnea tu GP cakap, "Noreen, you cant eat this,". Lol~

Dah habis habis makan, tapi wife GP still belum habis makan. You know what, GP yang tolong angkatkan pinggan mangkuk yang kitorang guna pergi dapur, awesome~ Sebab masalahnya kitorang ni dah la student dia, dia pulak yang angkatkan semua while wife dia makan. Hoho.

Haha. Puppy tu suka aku kot, dari jauh nak attack aku dah, ya Rabbi puas laa mengelaknya, nasib baik partner tolong halang puppy tu, kalau tak nak menyamaknya satu hal karangg. Tapi tu lah, actually haiwan kegemaran memang suka anjing yang tak liar laa, hehe. Especially anjing yang rupa fox, hensem sangat hahaha.

Okey now to clinical stuffs.

Ada toddlers came with chicken pox. Confused gak sebenarnya beza measles, shingles, and chicken pox ni. So gotta make extra reading on that. Dari laman web HSE;

Chickenpox  is a mild and common childhood illness that most children catch at some point.

It causes a rash of red, itchy spots that turn into fluid-filled blisters. They then crust over to form scabs, which eventually drop off.

Some children have only a few spots, but in others they can cover the entire body. The spots are most likely to appear on the face, ears and scalp, under the arms, on the chest and stomach and on the arms and legs.

Chickenpox (medically known as varicella) is caused by a virus called the varicella-zoster virus. It's spread quickly and easily through the coughs and sneezes of someone who is infected.

Chickenpox is most common in children under 10. In fact, chickenpox is so common in childhood that 90% of adults are immune to the condition because they've had it before.

Children usually catch chickenpox in winter and spring, particularly between March and May.

And then ada patient with UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). Susah sikit nak handle patient ni sebab so far dia ada dua antibiotic yang dia allergic which are penicillin and cephalosporin. So this time around, GP prescribe quionolone. Partner tanya, serious ke UTI ni, haha GP jawab very nasty, mung lelaki takpe la. Gituh la kalau ditranslate dalam bahasa melayu. Heh.

UTI ni ada upper and lower UTI. Kalau lower UTI, cystitis la yakni infection kat bladder. So symptoms dia seperti pyuria, dysuria, frequency, haematuria. Kalau upper UTI, pyelonephritis.. So upper UTI lagi nasty sebab lagi menyebakan feeling unwell PLUS dengan fever sekali~

Semalam juga buat another 2 phleb, check temperature, blood pressure, and GP pesan sambil nak buat all that stuffs, kena bercakap dengan patient cakap nak buat apa sebab nanti time clinical exam, examiner akan tengok benda-benda macam ni jugak.

Okey saja nak mencapub breakfast aku every morning kat sini.

Sekian, wassalam.

ps: Tajuk entry bajet #deep tu heh.
